The connection between a musician and their instrument is very personal, and an instrument straight from the shop or factory is not necessarily right for you. We can help; whether you need fine adjustments to match your style, more significant changes to get the instrument you really want, or repairs to restore a damaged instrument.

  • Prices quoted below are for guidance only, based on a “standard” guitar. All work is individually quoted based on your needs and the specifics of your instrument.

  • Prices exclude the cost of replacement parts and strings. Replacement parts and strings can be sourced, or you can provide your own if you prefer

Tremolo Bridge and Saddles

Setup

From £60

Small adjustments can add up to be greater than the sum of their parts. Not all problems can be fixed with a setup, but it can make a huge difference to your playing experience. A full set up would include:

  • Clean and condition the fretboard

  • Polish frets

  • Restring

  • Adjust neck relief

  • Adjust string action

  • Check and set intonation

  • Adjust pickup height/balance

  • Adjust tremolo (if applicable)

Stratocaster pots

Electrical Work

From £15

Electrical gremlins can destroy your tone. Common upgrades/repairs are listed below, but please enquire if the work you require is not listed - each instrument is individually assessed and quoted for. Please note, some guitars will require removal of strings to access certain electricals, so a restring may also be required.

  • Rewire output jack - £15

  • Rewire selector switch - from £20

  • Rewire potentiometer - from £20

  • Rewire pickups - from £25 (per pickup)

  • Full rewire - from £65

Acoustic frets

Fret work

From £25

Frets should be perfectly level and polished to a mirror finish for best results, but over time they get worn down and damaged.

  • Spot levelling and recrown - from £25

  • Full fret level and dress* - from £150

  • Complete re-fret* - from £250

* full fret level and dress and complete re-fret services include a full setup

Re-stringing

From £12

  • Fixed/Strat-style bridge string electric or acoustic - £12

  • 4-string Bass guitars - £12

  • Floyd Rose tremolo (or similar) - £18

  • Classical - £18

Includes fitting new strings, stretching new strings and tuning to concert pitch (or other if desired).

Nuts and Saddles

Replacements from £50

Nuts and Saddles have a significant impact on string action and tuning stability. Adjustment work/fettling quoted on a case-by-case basis. For full replacements, bone or synthetic options are available to meet your requirements.

Repairs

Prices on request

No job to small, or too large! From just fancying some new knobs or tuning machine, to your instrument having significant structural damage - please reach out with some information about what you want doing and I would be happy to arrange a consultation and provide a quotation for the work required.
